Our team has been hard at work on an updated version of Travelogic that will include fixes for several issues our users were experiencing as well as the Beta version for a new type of quotation called Incentives/Groups Lite.
The Incentives/Group Lite quotation type has been designed to work fundamentally different from how Travelogic processes a quotation to improve performance when changes are made. In our current FIT, Incentives, Groups and Group Series quotations, the logic in the backend, is driven by passenger information (names, ages, numbers, allocation, etc) and this information is factored in when services are added, updated or changed within a quotation. This factoring causes longer processing times for quotations for large number of travellers (20 to 300+) and is compounded further if the quotation includes many services per day and/or if the itinerary is lengthy (10 nights +).
After talking to some of our users, we found that most quotations for Groups and Incentives could be done with significantly less information specifically related to passengers. In the new Lite quotations, only the number of passengers is required, reducing the amount of information that needs to be processed with each change; resulting in a much faster Travelogic!
Having worked on the Incentives/Groups Lite version for the past few months, we have just scratched the surface of the changes that will be made to further support Incentives and Groups travel in our Lite version and, with that in mind, we have decided to release the Incentives/Groups Lite in Beta version to all our clients with the TL4.6 update. We are excited to get your feedback while we are still in the early stages to ensure that the future versions include enhancements that will deliver you more value.
The Beta version of Incentives/Groups Lite will be available at no additional cost to all users. The functionality is very similar to the other types of quotes, however, as we are releasing in Beta, there are limitations on Reports. This along with enhancements we have already discussed, and hopefully more based on your feedback, will be available when we release the full version of Incentives/Group Lite later in 2019.
